Dr. Han K. Do graduated from the University of California at San Francisco, School of Dentistry in 1996. He keeps up with the latest advances and techniques in dentistry by taking numerous continuing education courses. Dr. Do uses high-tech equipment, such as Digital X-rays, CEREC, lasers, and intraoral cameras to achieve excellent restorative and cosmetic results. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Dorel Onea, DDS, MS Specialist in Periodontics
Dr. Dorel Onea decided to go into dentistry because he likes science and working with his hands. He graduated as a periodontist from the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry. Since then, he has achieved a prestigious Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology for his outstanding work on gum disease. In his spare time, he does volunteer dentistry, nature photography, skiing and kayaking. Dr. Onea is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the California Periodontal Society, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
John Lewis, DMD, MS Specialist in Periodontics
Dr. John Lewis became interested in dentistry while doing his master's thesis on bone development and healing. After graduating with a master's degree, he went to the University of Pittsburgh to study dental medicine. He did his graduate periodontal training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Lewis has since achieved a prestigious Diplomate status in Periodontology from the American Board of Periodontology for his outstanding work on gum disease. Today, he is also an evaluator and examiner for the Dental Board of California in conscious sedation licensing. He also has acted as a consultant in periodontics to the Veterans Administration, which included lecturing and clinical instructing to general practice residents. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Michael Mikitka, DDS Specialist in Prosthodontics
Dr. Michael Mikitka enjoys dentistry because it allows him to enhance his patient's general health and well-being by treating their gum problems. A prosthodontist, Dr. Mikitka graduated from the University of California Los Angeles Dental School in 1971 and then did graduate work at Boston University. After 20 years of serving as a dental specialist with the U.S. Air Force and Army, he retired in 1997 to go into private practice. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
Dr. Gabriella Kruse, DDS General and Cosmetic Dentistry
After earning her B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior, from UC Davis Dr. Kruse attended the UCSF School of Dentistry. During her time at UCSF, Dr. Kruse was active in organized dentistry, representing her profession at national meetings, and continues this commitment to organized dentistry now as a tripartite member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
After dental school, Dr. Kruse also completed a hospital-based general practice residency in Bronx, NY, where she treated medically-compromised patients, as well as gained much experience in the specialties of oral surgery and endodontics. She enjoys being able to provide these expanded services to her patients at Alhambra Dental Plaza.
To Dr. Kruse, education is all-important and she stays current with new technology and trends in dentistry by attending many continuing education courses. Her personal practice philosophy is one of quality, compassion, and stressing the importance of patient education. She is committed to providing the best care possible for her patients.
